Clifford Bogges had to be executed for his own well being. I believe in determining whether or not Bogges should have been executed for the murder of two elderly men, his intentions mean everything. Bogges claims that in killing the men he had done it for the cash and that he had no other choice. If I was going to kill someone for cash I would hold up a store and clean out their registers, not kill someone. Killing someone would be the last thing on my list of robberies. I believe that although Bogges was a very talented artist he was also a very confused man who had only one intention, to kill. When Bogges is killing it felt natural to him, he didn’t do it out of rage or anger when he killed the old men he took his time and did it carefully to make sure they were dead. He is a very talented actor but he was caught and nothing in my mind tells me otherwise that if he was not stopped when he was more people would have been killed. When Bogges was caught he basically gave himself up, which leads me to believe that he, has killed more than twice, but did not let the truth out about his hobbies until he became comfortable with it. A person like Bogges will never change it just comes natural. Some gay people claim to be changed for good by the church and claim to be straight after sexual rehab. Although these people might have been changed, they are still gay. Bogges claimed to be changed but some people just can’t change who they are, he was still a killer it’s in his DNA. The simple solution? Bogges had to be killed because he was a murderer, not because of the family. There is no room for emotion in a court room. The family will just have to get over it, like they would have to get over any other death in a family.
