It’s that time of year again where we all sit around our table filled to the brim with food and family around every turn and we say what it is we are most thankful for. This year I am thankful for the pilgrims who traveled long and far across the ocean and landed their great ship upon the shores of freedom, to escape prosecution from the Catholics of their native land. Once they were here they decided to spread their freedom to the native savages that did not know any better. In this wonderful time of giving they gave many blankets to these people in hopes that the small pox that was laced in every stich would kill off the Indians. Then after their wonderful gifts of a warm death they took all of the food the Indians had saved for the long winter. Once the food was safely in their bellies they then caringly bought the land from the small pox infested Indians, but soon they couldn’t pay their rent, because they were too sick. The wonderful Pilgrims told them to either get out or find the money. The Native Americans couldn’t sell enough cookie dough so they were forced to find a new home. Once they had traveled far and long and thought that they had escaped the Pilgrims. The Pilgrims kill them anyways.
I am proud to be an American so I may celebrate this wonderful holiday with all different types of people. I also enjoy Thanksgiving because every year it gives me great present ideas for Christmas.
The End.
